Low Carb Keto Popcorn Recipe ( Just One Ingredient)

Popcorn is maybe one of the hardest snacks to replace on keto. So what to do when craving popcorn to snack? Make this Low Carb Keto popcorn, of course. Using dried cheddar cheese cubes instead of corn kernels, this recipe will hit the spot! It is salty, packed with fats and flavor, and, most importantly, it is keto-friendly!

  • 1 block cheddar cheese


  • 2 tbsp melted butter or olive oil
  • 1 pinch of salt and/or herbs of choice


  • Cut the block of cheese into small, irregular cubes.
  • Place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Cover with a clean kitchen towel and allow to dry out at room temperature for 24h.
  • When dried out, preheat oven to 200 C/390 F, fan on.
  • Bake the cheese cubes at 200 C/390 F for 3-5 minutes or until they puff up.
  • Allow to cool down for 10 minutes.
  • Optional, add melted butter or olive oil and herbs and toss to coat.
